Over Package

In the words of experts, excessive packaging is: many packaging consumables, heavy weight, large volume, and gorgeous decoration. Excessive packaging is not only costly, but also wastes a lot of resources.

In order to solve the problem of excessive packaging of food and cosmetics, the Standards Committee of the State Administration for Market Regulation, together with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments, organized relevant standardization technical committees and technical institutions to revise the 2009 version of the standard, and formulated and issued a new GB 23350-2021 "Restriction". Excessive packaging of commodities requires food and cosmetics" national standard, which will be officially implemented on September 1, 2023.

The new standard specifies the packaging void ratio, the number of packaging layers and the packaging cost requirements, as well as the corresponding calculation, detection and determination methods. specific contents:
① The packaging requirements for 31 categories of food and 16 categories of cosmetics are standardized.
② It greatly simplifies the judgment method of over-packaged products. Consumers only need to check the weight or volume of the products themselves, and measure the volume of the outermost packaging. Through calculation, they can preliminarily determine whether the products are over-packaged.
③ The requirements for the number of packaging layers are strictly limited. Food and processed products in food should not exceed three layers of packaging, and other foods and cosmetics should not exceed four layers of packaging.

How to deal with over-packaging policies?

It is essential to replace the packaging material, and the use of honeycomb paper, an environmentally friendly and recyclable consumable with multiple functions, is in line with the standard!

▌Cushioning

Honeycomb paper is made of long fibers of conifers. This paper is three-dimensional after being stretched, and has the effect of shock resistance and compression, which can disperse the impact force on items during transportation.

Fill-ability (reduce porosity, reduce volume)

The honeycomb paper has a three-dimensional shape after being stretched, which can fully fill the gaps and fix items without accounting for gram weight. After the same unit is stretched, it expands to fill the gap, and the honeycomb paper can be stretched 1.6 times as much as the original, and the cost does not increase.

The traditional packaging method is fixed by paper plastic, blister, or foam mold. One product needs one mold, which not only increases the cost but also has a single packaging method.

The use of honeycomb paper can pack items of different shapes without the need for a fixed mold, and while achieving the best protection effect, it can fully fill the gaps, minimize the packaging volume, and reduce packaging costs.

Decorative

Usually, buffer packaging only has the function of protecting items and reducing collisions. It has a single function. If you want to be beautiful, you need paper silk for decoration. Not only does the packaging cost increase, but it also exceeds the number of layers, volume and weight of the packaging stipulated by the policy.

The use of honeycomb paper not only has the functions of buffering and filling, but also decorative, which is equivalent to eliminating the three-layer packaging process.

Using honeycomb paper to package food and cosmetics not only increases the appearance, but also has the characteristics of natural and pure nature, enhances the sense of value and design of the product, meets the public's pursuit of product ritual, and also meets the requirements of national environmental protection policies. decrease, but not increase in volume.

Different colors of honeycomb paper can be matched according to the usage scene, for example, the wood-colored honeycomb paper wraps electrical appliances, food, etc. to represent nature.

Red honeycomb paper wraps chocolate, cosmetics, etc. to represent love and enthusiasm. White honeycomb paper wraps daily necessities to express cleanliness. Black honeycomb paper wraps high luxury items to represent nobility, increasing the buffer and also increasing the appearance.

Packaging cost

Excessive packaging not only wastes consumables, but also needs different consumables for cushioning, filling and decoration on packaging items, resulting in an increase in packaging costs. With honeycomb paper, these three needs can be met at the same time, and the packaging cost can be reduced!
